Anti-Wrinkle Injections

Or more commonly known as the "B" word! One of the most popular and long-standing aesthetic treatments on the market.

Anti-wrinkle injections work using something called Botulinum Toxin which works to relax the muscles that cause wrinkles to be present. Once relaxed, the skin is smoother which gives a more youthful appearance. It also allows for better makeup or beauty product application.

The most common 3 areas that I treat are the glabellar (also known as frown lines), forehead lines and peri-orbital lines (or crow's feet).  Frown lines are the vertical lines that appear between the eyebrows when frowning. Forehead lines are the horizontal lines that appear when eyebrows are raised. Crow's feet are the lines that appear around the eye area when smiling or laughing.

These are the most popular and common areas that are treated but I am also trained in advanced toxin treatments. This means that I can also treat the following areas:

Lip flip - lifts the top lip slightly to reveal the whole of the lip to give a more balanced top-to-bottom lip ratio.

Gummy smile - Relaxes the top lip to cover gums that are visible when smiling.

Bunny lines - the lines that appear at the top of the nose when the nose is scrunched up.

Brow lift - This can be medial or lateral to lift either the whole brow or the tails of the eyebrows to open the eyes and give a more youthful look

Nasal tip - the tip of the nose can be lifted if it naturally drops down too low

Nasal slimming - botox can be used to give the impression of a slimmer nose by relaxing the muscles at either side of the nose

Upper lip lines - also known as smokers' lines, these are vertical lines that appear on the upper lip and although are most commonly known to be caused by smoking, they can also appear due to natural aging

Dimpled chin - dimpled areas can be treated to give a smooth appearance to the chin

Lower eyelid - wrinkles under the eyes can be treated which can open the eyes and reduce the look of tired, aged skin

Downturned smile (DAO) - if the corners of your mouth are downturned, botox can be used to relax this and stop the sides of the mouth from drooping to give the look of a downturned smile

Marionette lines - lines that develop from your mouth to your chin. These can be filled if very deep, or treated with anti-wrinkle injections to smooth them out

Jaw - this area can be treated to slim the jawline and to prevent teeth grinding or jaw clenching

Nefertiti Neck lift - the bands in the neck which become more prominent as we age can be treated to give a smoother appearance. This is almost as effective as a surgical neck lift without any of the down-time, pain or high cost

Hyperhidrosis - this is excessive sweating from the underarms, palms or feet. It can be treated with botox which prevents the sweat glands from over-secreting providing comfort and relieving the anxiety that the condition can cause

Migraine - the scalp can be injected in certain places which has been proven to help relieve migraines
